Broadcasting august, clown Lett about painting the K-hall

did you see the performance of stephen lett on august broadcasting?.

the illustration of painting the kingdom hall?.

used for explaining that you have to listen to elders even when they are totaly wrong?.

So. the wacko local elders decide to paint the Kingdom Hall...... and ( with their great wisdom) come to a conclusion that it is easier for every member in the congregation help paint the whole building with a 2'' brush rather than a roller, sprayer, give the job to a painting contractor, or even let the job wait for another time.

The 2'' painting brush solution would cost more, take more time, and have lots of confusion. But, no input is taken into consideration because the elders ''said so.'' You can't divide the congregation into ''different camps.'' Leave your brain at the entrance door.

What's the whole point of the illustration?..... To be ''submissive'' and ''be obedient'' to the WTBTS and the local elders, no matter if they're wrong about the direction they are leading the congregation members!

A youtube video shows a young Witness boy ( 7-9 years old ) giving a ministry school talk...facing the congregation and reading some Bible scriptures.

Another youtube video shows two female Witnesses reading some Bible scriptures...they are not facing the congregation. They are facing each other.

If an elder reads some Bible scriptures from the podium, he is teaching. What is this young Witness boy and two female Witnesses doing? If the female Witnesses are not teaching, what are they doing? Why are they even allowed on stage if 1 Timothy 2:11-15( keep in silence) applies to them?

This teaching always boggled my mind!

the first part was all about the the evils of higher education.

i couldn't stand it and left.

There were 2 sisters who got up and had a dramatization about a sister not wanting to go to College. I will paraphrase as best as I can.

High School Counselor: ''Have a seat Karen and I will show you all the College applications I have for you.''

Sister: ''Thank you for all the work you have done.''

Counselor: '' I have an application from Harvard,one from Michigan University,and a couple from the East Coast.''

Sister: '' I have done alot of thinking and decided not to go to any College."

Counselor: ''Karen,you have a 4.0 grade average and scored very high on the A.C.T. and you would have no problem getting into any of these schools."

Sister: '' As you know,I'm a Jehovah's Witness and we believe that we are near the ''end times.'' I decided that I will go into the preaching work part time and maybe go to a 2 year school."

Counselor: ''You will probably get into these schools at almost no cost because of your 4.0 average and high A.C.T. scores and have a good career the rest of your life.These are great schools and will prepare you to land a good job.''

Sister: ''This world is passing by and may not be here any longer. I decided to enter the ministry work and Jehovah God will provide for me in the future."

Everyone applauded except me. That was really sad to see!

The last assembly I attended was about 8 years ago. My female cousin had a part with another sister on the dangers of higher education. Hearing this made me think on what I heard on the podium and what I wrote on here:

Life during the 1,000 reign???

me and my brother recently got into a discussion about the 1,000 reign.

i told him that even after armageddon, you know that you still have to work for your salvation??

he says yes, that he is prepared to work for jehovah (wth), and that it will be a wonderful time.

RULES & REGULATIONS

Life during the 1,000 reign never sounded appealing to me even as a kid, it sounded scary!

After going to meetings, assemblies, field service, and having your life examined by the local elders your whole life, now you have another thousand years of the same thing in ''paradise earth.''

You still need to prove yourself during the 1000 year reign. ''Somehow'' Satan is still alive. God still keeps him around.( somehow my loyalty never impresses Jehovah )

After the 1000 years, Satan and his cronies comes out of jail/abyss and try to tempt you again for Jehovah's loyalty. ( talk about an insecure God )

If you remain ''loyal'', you will live forever. If you are tempted and fail with your loyalty, you will get the '' second death'' (eternal).

I encourage my brother to do more research into the 1,000 reign

Flashback: Samuel Herd/Ashland Avenue Chicago

must have been mid to late 1970s.. it was when they still published the speakers' names on the light-blue circuit assembly programs.. i was a child sitting in the audience at ashland avenue's circuit assembly venue.

i loved that place with it's own basement cafeteria and baptism pool with a big jesus getting baptized mural behind it.. samuel herd was giving the talk.

my child self could only remember my father pointing him out on the program.

We attended the 7900 S. Ashland Chicago, IL Assembly Hall in the 1970's. It was scary back 40 years ago. Here is a screen shot of the property in 2018.

We traveled to Ashland Ave from northwest Indiana when I was a teenager. Scary, scary neighborhood!

AllTimeJeff : I was at a Ministry School Meeting ( ten years ago ) and listened to two sisters making a field service presentation. The sister made her usual spiel to the householder and took out an older 190 page book for her to read.

I sat there and it finally hit me right in the face. Why would this householder be interested in this 10 year old book .. a book she would never understand and have little interest. Why not just read some insightful Bible scriptures to the householder?

Now, I figured it out! This book was offered because of large inventory at the warehouses, not because of subject matter. ( they probably had so many 190 page books that collecting dust )

This WTBTS is nothing but a religious corporation. It has a 8 member board and answers to no one. They send out Missionaries, Pioneers, Circuit and District Overseers, and have Elders make sure the rules and all regulations are enforced. Most labor is free: from factory, warehouse, Kingdom Hall, Convention Halls and the Warwick Headquarters construction. Also,there is the buying and selling of real estate, large money contributions and no accounting on where all this money goes.

As you said: The motives of the Sheeples class is not what this is about. Simply put, it's about the leadership

The only thing they give in return to its members is ....the carrot and the stick of the '' new paradise'' and false promises.

I don't see one scripture on one not growing a beard...somehow no one puts up a fight on this matter..
